

Tom HannemanTelevision Play-By-Play Announcer
One of the most versatile and familiar voices in Minnesota sports broadcasting, Tom Hanneman returns for his 21st season of Timberwolves television broadcasts. Hanneman will serve as play-by-play announcer for all of the Wolves’ local network broadcasts.
In October 2005, Hanneman was honored by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Television Academy with a regional Emmy Award. The award came under the sports play-by-play category for his work on the Timberwolves telecasts on KSTC. He received a second regional Emmy Award as part of the winning group for the “The Year That Was” series that aired on FSN North.
Hanneman’s talents have been recognized on the national level, as well. He worked four seasons as the studio host of NBA Radio, anchoring a 140-station network that featured All-Star Weekend, the NBA Game of the Week and expanded NBA playoff and draft coverage. Hanneman’s NBA Radio work took him to Toronto to host the 1994 World Championship of Basketball for the network, and he hosted a weekly radio show for the BBC in London, in addition to broadcasts in Australia and New Zealand.
Hanneman was already familiar to Minnesota sports fans when he joined the Timberwolves broadcast team in 1989. For the previous 16 years, he was seen by Twin Citians as a news and sports reporter on WCCO-TV.
Born in La Crosse, Wis., Hanneman resides in Eden Prairie, Minn., along with his wife, Nancy, and their children, Adam, Courtney and Kyle.
Jim PetersenTelevision Analyst
Jim Petersen returns for his 12th season with the Wolves’ broadcast team. Partnered with Tom Hanneman, Petersen brings the experience of an eight-year NBA career to his analysis.
A St. Louis Park native, Petersen was named Minnesota’s Mr. Basketball in 1980 and was the first McDonald’s All-American from Minnesota. He went on to be a four-year letter winner at the University of Minnesota and was a member of the Gophers’ 1982 Big Ten Championship team.
Petersen was selected 51st overall by the Houston Rockets in the 1984 NBA draft. He played forward and center for the Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors before retiring in 1992.
After leaving the NBA, Petersen worked for the NBA Players Association in their player programs division, facilitating seminars in NBA locker rooms on topics such as AIDS awareness, substance abuse and career/financial planning for life after basketball. Petersen currently resides in Wayzata along with his wife Tika, and son, Sanjay.

Alan HortonRadio Play-By-Play Announcer
Alan Horton enters his third season as the play-by-play announcer for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Horton will call every Wolves game this season on the team's radio home, KFAN-AM 1130.
Horton also handles the radio play-by-play duties for the Minnesota Lynx. He comes to the Timberwolves and Lynx after spending the summer of 2007 WNBA season calling the Seattle Storm's games for Seattle radio, as well as serving as the executive producer of the Seattle SuperSonics radio network.
A native of Massachusetts, Horton spent 10 years in Southern California as a sports broadcaster on both radio and television. In addition to his time with the Storm, his play-by-play experience includes the San Diego Padres, San Diego State University football, men's and women's basketball and baseball, as well as high school football.
Horton lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Amy, and their son, Andre.
John FockeRadio Producer
John Focke joined the Minnesota Timberwolves Radio Network as producer and studio host before the start of the 2007-2008 season.
Prior to joining the Wolves, Focke was the voice of Northern Michigan University Hockey as well as the host of the University's football and basketball pregame, half-time and post game shows, in addition to providing color commentary for the games. A native of St. Paul, Focke graduated from Ohio University in 2002 before starting his career as a sports director at KATE Radio in Albert Lea, MN where he called play by play for the local high school and covered the Wolves, Twins, Vikings, Wild and Gophers.
Focke also spent a year with the MN Wild as a part time producer with their Radio Network.
